Community Growth Through Projects

Our purpose is: "To become a force for good in the community, determining community needs and providing solutions by planning and facilitating community service projects. In the act of serving, members receive hands-on experience, which translates to the enhancement of personal growth and the development of valuable leadership skills."
--From the Nebraska Jaycees web site

Every year the Sidney Jaycees volunteer their time, talent and energy to improving the surrounding communities and themselves. Listed to the left are some of our larger projects, but it's important to remember that the Jaycees complete many smaller projects throughout the year.
Membership enrichment projects provide opportunities for learning not only for those people the Jaycees are helping but for the members themselves.
We run projects. Whether it's large projects or small, project management skills translate everywhere and you learn it by doing.

Projects can fit into any category including community service, personal interest, and professional development projects.
If you have an idea for a project in our area, please don't hesitate to contact one of our members or one of our board members! New ideas are welcome and always given the utmost consideration. Click here to contact a board member today with your idea!
