We Believe-
  • That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;
  • That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations;
  • That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;
  • That government should be of laws rather than of men;
  • That earth's great treasure lies in the human personality;
  • And that service to humanity is the best work of life.

Management Development includes any project that raises funds and deals in the area of public relations and communication.

Membership and Growth includes any project or activity that recruits, activates or retains our members.

Public Relations: The newsletter that members receive every month is part of the Sidney Jaycees Public Relations program. Other Public Relations projects include Jaycee/Radio week, which are a series of radio shows that promote Jaycees and what we do for the community and for ourselves that run during that week.

Membership Recruitment: The Vice President and director in this area will have incentives for general members to recruit new members, line up demonstrations on how to recruit and will set up the dates for M-nights. An M-night is like a social during which all of the board members will try to talk to possible new members to let them know what the Jaycees organization is all about.
Springboard/degree Programs: These programs activate the members of our organization. Activation is important to provide the manpower needed to run our many community projects.

Individual development encourages the personal growth of each member through Jaycee activities and Development Courses that we can offer.

Courses: The Individual Development courses that are offered to the members of any Jaycee Organization are designed to benefit the member in his or her personal and public life. The Sidney Jaycees throughout the course of the year try to instruct members in classes about leadership, Communication, Time Management, and Financial Management. Many of these courses are offered in the form of a monthly program at our general member meeting.

Socials; These offer the opportunity to meet other members of the Sidney Jaycees. These events have been the seed from which many friendships (and even a few marriages) have blossomed

Other Benefits offered by the Jaycee membership include, special awards presented to members, sporting events offered by the Cheyenne County Community Center that Jaycees can enter as a team, and family outings to give families of Jaycees a chance to meet and enjoy activities together.
